EA Fisheries Enforcement Officer patrolling local waters

An EA Fisheries Enforcement Officer will be patrolling waters in this area during the period from now until the end of the season.

All members aged 12 and over and day ticket holders are reminded they must carry a valid EA rod licence with them at all times.

(If you are between 12 and 15 you must hold a rod licence – but it’s free)

Anyone approached by this officer and found unable to present a valid rod licence could find themselves liable to prosecution and a hefty fine!

Update – January 23.

The Enforcement Officer has already been out checking anglers in the Beccles and Bungay area and a number have been caught without a rod licence. None of those was a BCTAC member.
