Attention all members – working party 9 Nov, match venue change, found tackle, clubwear.

Working Party 9 November

Meet at Orchard Lake Car park.
On the new river stretch (Lower Dunburgh) –  The main objectives are to clear the reeds in front of, or adjacent to some of the new platforms, install boards behind some of the new platforms to stop back-filled soil slipping into the river and also to apply grass seed where needed.
If any members have extending loppers/saws/weed cutters please bring them, likewise saws, spades and rakes.
Also on the ‘old Dunburgh stretch (Upper Dunburgh) we hope to trim some of the overhanging branches on the path between the car park and river and also level some of the platforms that have dropped as the bank/path has become eroded.
Saws, crowbars and loppers would be useful.

Match venue change.

In light of the work being carried out on the new river stretch (Lower Dunburgh) the match due to be held there on 17 November will now be held at the old (Upper Dunburgh) stretch.

Lost tackle.

If any member has ‘lost’ a Daiwa Generic power kit 5.8mm (Pink Elastic/Puller kit), with what appears to be part of a broken number 4 section, please contact the club. This was retrieved by Club Chairman Glenn during the mini work party and cleaned by Dave Gladwell.
