COVID19 – Re-opening of Club Waters – Club Statement

From 29 March 2021 new, more relaxed, restrictions will apply to club waters which are open to Club members.

Members must take heed of the current guidance published by Angling Trust

Please read the full Angling Trust statement before deciding whether you should fish.

Should you decide to fish you are reminded the Club’s Covid19 rules, as laid out below, STILL APPLY.

They are –

  • – No congregating with other anglers.
  • – Keep your distance and maintain a 2mtr gap at all times.
  • – No walking around the lakes.
  • – Pathways / tracks must be kept clear at all times – do not lean rod holders etc against the otter fence at the lay-by.
  • – Gates and locks should be opened whilst wearing gloves or covered hands.
  • – If fishing the lay-by with a non fishing partner – do not fish pegs 3 to 14 inclusive.
  • – If you turn and find all pegs are taken, leave the venue and try another. DO NOT walk around.
  • – The Toilet at the lay-by can be used at each anglers own risk. It is currently padlocked to prevent unauthorised use. Code is same as gate. Please use hand sanitiser.
  • – Nets may be used but ensure no fish over 5lb are put in.

ANYONE CAUGHT BREAKING OR ABUSING THE ABOVE RULES IN THE CURRENT SITUATION WILL BE BANNED.

Club Officials will be checking all waters. Please carry your Club Card.

If any person develops or think they are developing COVID19, please leave the waters immediately and follow government guidelines.

THE COMMITTEE HOPE AND LOOK TO ITS MEMBERS TO USE THEIR COMMON SENSE.
FOLLOW THE RULES.
FAILURE TO DO SO COULD NOT ONLY DAMAGE THE CLUB BUT THE SPORT AS A WHOLE.

Glenn Shiplee (CHAIRMAN) on behalf of the COMMITTEE.
