Orchard Lake and Car Park will be CLOSED to Members on the following dates;
Saturday 2nd November 2024. (the previously advertised date – 19th October is now open for members to fish)
Saturday 16th November 2024.
Saturday 7th December 2024.
Saturday 28th December 2024.
Saturday 11th January 2025.
Saturday 25th January 2025.
Fishing is from Sunrise to Sunset only – no night fishing.
There is no vehicular access beyond the car park which has twenty spaces and also serves the Lower Dunburgh river stretch.
This small water has 20 swims with varying depths up to 9ft in places.
The existing stock of Roach, Perch and eels has been supplemented with stockings of small Tench and some good sized Crucians together with some Bream and Carp.
The water has been netted for Pike which have been moved to other, non club, waters.
The complete lake is fenced in against Otters, which are active in this area. Please ensure all gates are kept fully closed at all times.
In line with the Club’s other still waters –
- Anglers are restricted to using one rod only when fishing this water.
- Unhooking mats are mandatory.
- Barbless hooks only.
- Line strength must not exceed 10lb breaking strain.
- All ledger rigs are to be running rigs. All bolt rigs are banned.
- No floating baits.
- No night fishing.
- Fishing permitted from permanent swims only.
- No dogs allowed on site
Additionally – No access to, or fishing from the island is permitted. This is private land. The summerhouse is also private, please keep off.
A toilet has been installed at the entrance, please use it!
