Irresponsible actions by “anglers” at Lay-by

Irresponsible action by a few individuals at Lay-By (yes, you know who you are) have deliberately flouted the Club rules for their own advantage.
There is NO excuse for ignoring or pleading ignorance – the basic rules are on your Club card and on notice boards at the water.
Flouting the rules will likely lead to your membership being revoked. In these instances Rules 14 and 15 apply – please read them!

Chairman Glenn Shiplee’s  comments are published below –

Before the match on Sunday (27 July) I had a walk round Layby and there was line across peg 16. So I decided to get it before the match.

The feeder was at the top of the tree to left of 16 (don’t know how) and I saw it from the path. So whoever lost it couldn’t be bothered to retrieve it.

Didn’t really look at it and Andy then said what’s right with that rig? Line must be about 15lb, hook looks like a size 8, and a braid hook length.

We need to discuss at next meeting but the general opinion Sunday was – if people  are caught with Braid hook lengths they should be banned from Club.

Had a guy tell me today that he also saw a bloke last week, with his son, Stalking up the shallow side with a float and floating bread.

Also Post with lifebelt has fell over. A guy told me on entering the lake. He said cows must have pushed it over but it looks too far from the fence for that to have happened?
